Dr. Tawfikur Rahman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT), Dhaka. He earned his PhD in Electronics Engineering (Power & Electronic Engineering) from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in 2019, receiving the Gold Medal/Best Student Award, and completed his MSc from IIUM and BSc in EEE from IUBAT. He has also served in research and teaching roles in both Malaysia and Bangladesh, including post-doctoral and research associate appointments.
His research focuses on power electronics and sustainable energy systems, especially phase-synchronous inverters, microgrid control, and renewable energy integration. He also works on patented electrostatic biohydrogen production, electric vehicle power converter design, and AI/ML applications in biomedical signal analysis and smart agriculture. Dr. Rahman has published 49+ journal and conference papers, holds patents in electrostatic bioenergy systems, and is affiliated with BEM, IEEE, and national engineering professional bodies.
